Our Purpose

To promote interest in the history of Placer County; to discover, collect and make accessible historical facts, to mark places of historical interest, and to sponsor the Placer County Museum.

Placer County Historical Society Dinner Meetings
​
Regular dinner meetings are held the first Thursday of February, April, June, October, and December.
Dinner meetings start at 6:00 pm at Veterans Memorial Hall, 100 East St,. Auburn. After dinner our guest speaker often covers an interesting aspect of local history.
You can help us by nominating a person to be our dinner speaker. Please submit the name, contact info and brief description of why you think this person would be a suitable speaker: Email: placerhistorical@gmail.com
